FABRIC MASKING AND PAINTING DESIGN CLASS
An informal evening of creating painted textile art pieces.
Hosted by The Virtual Thread and taught by Aleandra Smith.
Aleandra is the owner of Lola Nova studio, Textile Artist, Sewist, author of ‘Simple Sewing with Lola Nova’, Tea Maker
In this class you will learn to use masking tape and fabric paint on fabric to create one of a kind designs and works of art.
There are so many possibilities; from abstract design to geometric prints and beyond. Once you have learned the basics, you can make painted panels to be used in special projects, add stitched embellishments for mixed media, design painted blocks for quilting, and even create amazing wall hangings!

*Fabric Scraps (Pref. Cotton, Linen, natural fiber)
*Fabric Paints
*Masking Tape
*Foam Paint Brushes
*Hair Dryer
*Scissors

*Plastic containers/lids for mixing paint
*Something to protect your work surface (such as cardboard or brown paper etc)
*Paper and pencil for sketching
