About this Event

An informal workshop, hosted by Jane Grimshaw as part of the Virtual Thread workshops.
Jane is a costume maker for theatre and film based on the coast in Southern England. She is now applying much of the decorative knowladge gained over the years to these textile craft workshops.
Its that time of year , so join us for the Genteel Profanity Christmas social. A safe space for us to let rip about the stress of the season and the unrealistic demands of oyur children/ partners/ siblings/ parents on the present/ christmas dinner front.
We can embroider delicate profanities on to our christmas napkins, or even masks to wear whilst out braving the crowds during the Christmas rush down the shops.
Pull up a pew, let your hair down, pour a glass of mulled wine, heat up the minced pies and get your sweary stitch on.
To fully participate in the class you will need the following
* fabrics to use as the base of the chain.
*embroidery threads
*scissors fabric and embroidery
*needles
*mulled wine
*mince pies
