About this Event

An informal workshop, hosted by Jane Grimshaw as part of the Virtual Thread workshops.
Jane is a costume maker for theatre and film based on the coast in Southern England. She has made sewing her livelihood since the early 1990s and has taught costume making and sewing for over 25 years. She is now applying much of the decorative knowledge gained over the years to these textile craft workshops.
Spring is, after-what has felt like the longest winter ever, springing. So this is a safe space to let go of our frustrations born from being trapped in a Groundhog Day like existence for over a year. Let’s stitch away our anxiety, lets rant at the world, let’s let rip with a good well rounded volly of rude words and put the world to rights through the medium of genteelly profane stitching.
Pull up a pew, let your hair down, pour a glass of wine and get your sweary stitch on.
To fully take part in this workshop you will need the following easily obtained supplies
* something to embroider onto
*colourful embroidery threads
* needles and scissors
* wine, gin or other tipple
